OEM Process

From Your Drawing to Mass Production

Six steps. Fixed checkpoints. Nothing moves to the next step without your written sign-off.

1

RFQ Review

Day 0

Send STEP, IGES, X_T, PDF, or DWG. Include material, tolerances, and annual quantity. No CAD file? Mail a sample and we'll measure it. NDA signed first if your part is unlaunched.

You get:A reply from an engineer who read your file, not an autoresponder.

2

DFM Feedback

3 business days · free

We review your CAD in SolidWorks: draft angles, wall thickness, gate position, undercuts, sink risk. Problems get flagged in writing before you spend tooling money. This step is why customers stay.

You get:A quote plus written DFM feedback, and an honest answer if we're not the right fit.

Tooling

4–6 weeks

P20, H13, or 718H steel, built in our own mold shop. Cavity count engineered around your annual quantity. You approve the mold design before cutting starts. The mold is your property.

You get:A mold design to sign off, then a tool that belongs to you.

T1 Samples

You set the pace

Samples ship with a full FAI report, dimension by dimension against your drawing. Something off? We adjust the tool and sample again. Production waits for your written approval.

You get:Physical samples plus the FAI report your quality team will file.

5

Production

15–25 days/batch

Approved tool, approved resin, lot number traced from bag to carton. Batch inspection against the FAI baseline, so part 100,000 matches part 100. No minimum order quantity.

You get:Batch inspection records and material certificates, kept for your audits.

Your Drawings Stay Yours

OEM work runs on trust with files. Ours works like this:

  • NDA signed before any drawing exchange, on your template or ours
  • No customer names or parts published without written permission
  • Your molds and files are never shared with third parties
  • Move production later? We crate your mold and ship it to you

Regulator Handwheels: PA66, Splined Bore, ±0.05 mm

The customer sent one handwheel drawing in 2009. We held the splined bore at ±0.05 mm and matched five materials to valve torque. Today we mold 40+ SKUs from φ26 to φ66 mm on 15+ dedicated molds, with 100% dimensional inspection.

FAQ

What file formats do you accept?
3D: STEP, IGES, X_T. 2D: PDF or DWG with critical tolerances marked. No CAD file? Mail a physical sample and we'll measure it. A photo with dimensions is enough to start the conversation.
What is your typical tooling lead time?
4 to 6 weeks from mold design approval to T1 samples, built in our own mold shop in P20, H13, or 718H steel. Quote and DFM feedback come first, within 3 business days of receiving your files.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before you send a single file, on your template or ours. No customer names appear on this site, and most parts we mold ship under our customers' own brands.
What tolerances can you hold?
±0.05 mm standard, ±0.02 mm on critical features such as bores, splines, and sealing faces. Verified at first article, then checked batch by batch against the same baseline.
Who owns the mold?
You do. You pay for the tool, you own the tool, and it goes in the contract. Between orders we store and maintain it at no charge. If you move production, we crate it and ship it to you.
