Gas Equipment Components

Plastic Parts That Sit Between Pressurized Gas and People

Every plastic part on a regulator or flowmeter has a job that sounds small until it fails. A handwheel that cracks strands the cylinder. A flow tube that fogs gets misread. A gauge guard that slips off leaves the most fragile part of the instrument bare. Gas equipment buyers know this, which is why they change suppliers slowly and audit them hard.

One European gas equipment OEM has kept us through 17 years of those audits. What they get:

  • Material matched to the job. Five nylon and ABS grades across the handwheel range alone, each chosen for the torque its valve needs. POM for valve seats, TPE for guards, clear PC and GPPS for flow tubes.
  • Whole families, one supplier. We hold 80+ dedicated molds for this customer, so a regulator's handwheel, guard, and internals arrive from one factory, already proven to fit.
  • Molding is half the work. Flowmeters leave here assembled and flow-tested unit by unit, not as a bag of components.
  • Brass where metal meets plastic. Insert-molded bushings and threads on the parts that get torqued, checked piece by piece.

Production Capabilities

Built Around One Demanding Customer for 17 Years

Gas equipment programs shaped this factory: the materials we stock, the inspection habits we keep, and the assembly and test benches most molding shops never build.

80+ Dedicated Molds, One Customer

Built and maintained in-house across handwheels, valve parts, tubes, and guards. When a design revision lands, we modify the tool ourselves instead of quoting a new one.

Soft to Hard, Clear to Filled

TPE at Shore A 55–60, rubber plugs, ABS, glass-filled nylon, POM valve cores, and water-clear PC and GPPS flow tubes, all running today for gas equipment programs.

±0.05 mm Standard Tolerance

Down to ±0.02 mm on critical features such as splined bores and valve seat faces, verified at first article and monitored through the run.

Insert Molding In-House

Brass bushings and threaded inserts molded into handwheels and housings, with pull-out and thread checks on the parts that take torque.

Assembly & Function Testing

Flowmeters are assembled here and each unit is tested on a standard gas source. Gauge covers are fit-checked on a reference gauge. Molding shops rarely go this far; instrument suppliers must.

Inspected & Documented

FAI on every new tool, dimensional checks per batch, resin lots traced, colors held to European RAL standards. When your auditor asks, the records already exist.

What Can We Mold for You?

If it bolts onto a regulator, a flowmeter, a manifold, or a cylinder, chances are we already mold something like it. Send a drawing or a sample part and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit, and whether it needs assembly and testing too.

Documentation That Holds Up in Your Audit

How Gas Equipment Customers Qualify Us

Our production runs under ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management. Our European gas equipment customer holds us to a signed quality agreement covering change control, retained samples, and corrective action, and re-audits against it. Seventeen years in, we treat those requirements as our own baseline, whether your parts are for medical oxygen or industrial gas.

Material Traceability

Named resin grades, lot-traced per batch, certificate of analysis available.

RoHS / REACH Statements

Material-level compliance statements on request, to support your EU market filings and customs.

FAI & Change Control

First article inspection on every new mold, and no process or material change without your sign-off.

Gas Equipment Programs That Never Left

Quality promises are easy to make. Here is what it looks like when a gas equipment OEM stays for 17 years.

17 Years: From One Handwheel to a Full Series

Seventeen years ago, a European gas equipment OEM trusted us with a single regulator handwheel. We held the splined bore at ±0.05 mm, matched five materials to the torque each valve needs, and won the range size by size. Today we mold more than 40 variants, and the orders have never stopped.

FAQ

Do you serve both medical gas and industrial gas equipment?
Yes. The same European customer we have supplied for 17 years builds equipment for both markets, so our parts already live on medical oxygen regulators and on workshop gas gear. The molding is held to one standard either way; what changes is the paperwork depth your market needs, and we keep records for the stricter one.
Can you deliver flowmeters assembled and tested, not just molded parts?
Yes. We mold the graduated inner tube and clear outer tube, assemble the full unit from six components, and check every flowmeter on a standard gas source before packing. You receive instruments ready for your regulator line, not a bag of parts to assemble and calibrate yourself.
What materials do you run for gas equipment parts?
The range this industry actually uses: PA6, PA66, and glass-filled nylon for handwheels, ABS where chrome plating is needed, POM for valve seats and cores, TPE at Shore A 55 to 60 for gauge guards, water-clear PC and GPPS for flow tubes, plus rubber plugs and seals. All named grades, lot-traced per batch.
Are your parts suitable for oxygen service?
Material selection for oxygen service is your engineers' decision, and we don't second-guess it. What we do is mold exactly the grade you specify, provide the resin producer's documentation and certificates of analysis, and hold the process steady batch after batch. We have supplied components for oxygen regulators on that basis for 17 years.
Can one supplier take over a whole family of parts?
That is how our largest program grew. It started with a single handwheel; today we hold more than 80 dedicated molds for that customer, covering handwheels, valve parts, tubes, and guards. Consolidating a family with one supplier means matched materials, one quality contact, and fits that are proven before shipping.
What are your minimum orders, and how do you handle design revisions?
Typical minimums run 2,000 to 5,000 pieces per item, depending on part size and cavity count; ask, because it varies. For revisions, we modify the tooling in our own mold shop, submit new first article samples, and change nothing without your written approval. Change control is written into the quality agreement we work under.
